90210 and Dolly Parton

I am obsessed with 90210.  Yes, I loved the original but love the new even more.  Oh to be young and fabulous!  Anyways, they play very cool music throughout the show and a couple of weeks ago they played a song called "Jolene".  ABSOLUTELY loved it but had no idea who sang it.  So, I started my research and came up with no other than Dolly Parton. 9 to 5, twangy country, big booby Dolly Parton.  I am thinking there is NO WAY I like a song by her.  I used to cringe growing up when my parents would play their country crap(yes, I hate country music)...but this song was different.  It is powerful and I realized something...her voice is amazing.  So it is the odd-ball on my i-tunes playlist but that is OK.  Everyone needs a little odd-ball in their lives.

Tax Season

This is Bryan.  He is a husband and a father, and for the past 4 months he has practically been a stranger.  You see, Bryan is a hard-core, down and dirty CPA who eats, breathes and sleeps taxes from January to April 15th.  He is the reason we have all that we do, and we love him a lot.  Today is FINALLY April 15th...welcome back Bryan(now go get on the Honey-Do List which is 8 pages long)!

Lazy

I have no desire to go to the gym. I have become gym lazy for sure...so a bike ride will have to do. I love my bike, but I feel kind of weird riding it for exercise because it is not you typical bike. It is pink with a big seat and all cute. It is a Glenda the Good Witch bike. So, I must look crazy when I am trying to bust butt up a hill on it! Anyways, 2 more days until the 15th and then the kids and I get Bryan back from tax season. It always takes a while to get back into a 4 person house routine when it has just been the 3 of us for so long!

So I am off to brave another day and try to stay out of the kids Easter candy.

Oh the weather outside is...crap!

I am not a rain person. Some people love it, but I for one hate it. And what makes it even worse is the fact that since it never rains in Arizona, people don't know how to drive in it. You would think that the big flood had just wiped out the streets or something. Yes, I'm cranky...blame it on the rain. I did get to break out my "steal of the year". I got a car umbrella at Target on clearance for $.50. Unfortunately, it is junk and closed up on my head twice. The kids have also been sick with snotty noses and massive coughs all week. Poor things! I think we all just need a good, long nap. I promise, my next entry won't be so depressing and grumpy!

The "Tattle" Battle!

So the kids turned 4 in December and we immediately entered the tattle phase of our lives. So far this only occurring at home and not at school, which stinks for me because the teachers have more patience than I do! I haven't quite figured out the right way to handle this current challenge and am open to any advice (help Supernanny). I do love being at home with them...most of the time. Sometimes I just want to go to the bathroom in peace, and even though I close and lock the door they still pound on it screaming "Mommy, what are you doing? Can I come in? Mommy, MOMMY!" Anyways, here are the most current pics. of the kiddos. I love the one of Cooper and Skylar handcuffed together. It is such a cute, innocent picture, but doesn't kind of look like he is arresting her for something..... :) ?
